Yang recommended disini sudah pasti steaknya, tapi kita ada pesen beberapa appetizer juga. Tempatnya cozy, interiornya bagus, classy and elegant, servicenya ramah, kalau harganya memang pricey sih. Kesini dalam rangka anniversary om & tante gw, dan karena ribet banyak keluarga ngobrol sana sini, dan ribet bawa anak juga jadi fotonya seadanya deh. We also had Au Gratin, sliced potato, baked with plenty of cream and topped with melted cheedar, and for the closure I had my favorite creme brulee, which cooked perfectly, the egg custard is melted in your mouth while the carameled sugar on top give the sweet taste. The steak is juicy and melt in your mouth as the butters is giving you heaven sensation in your tongue.

Start with the appetizers, we ordered barbecued shrimp, which served perfectly cooked as the crunchiness of the shrimp is maintained served with butter sauce with mix of wine and garlic with herbs, continued with ruth's chopped salad, which nicely served follow with main course we ordered ribeye, 16 ounce USDA prime, cooked medium rare with simple grain of salt and papper with pinch of rosmary, and served on baked plates with melted butter, giving sizzling sounds and nice aroma of butter when served. Pending celebration, we had lunch on weekend one of the best steak house you can have in here, focused on the meat quality, the food was great. It did get a bit heavy towards the end though. Much richer chocolate taste while being less sweet, which made me prefer this one. Texture is very dense vs the molten cake. Ice cream also tasted basic, and the sauce drizzled on top was very, very sweet. Taste wise it’s just okay, cake was moist and fluffy enough, but missing the molten inside. The broiled cheese on top was nice as well. Like this over the mashed potato since the potato had more structure while still being creamy. Fatty cuts aren’t my cup of tea though, and this definitely had chunks of fatty layer.

Much juicier due to having higher fat:meat ratio, but not as buttery as expected despite being cooked at rare. Very disappointed as their quality used to be consistent. Meat was off this time around, being quite tough to chew, with lots of fibrous texture. I ordered this in rare but arrived more like medium well? Petite fillet is quite lean so overcooking make it quite tough. Pretty much the only cut I ever ordered in Ruth. Perhaps the pandemic has impacted their quality? Used to be one of my go to place for steak, but feels like the quality has gone down in my last visit. A pretty well known chain steakhouse from New Orleans, Ruth’s Jakarta is located in the same building as Somerset apartment.
